Cabo San Lucas and the southern Baja Peninsula is legendary for both its nightlife and its striped marlin fishery. Summer and fall months offer prime time pelagic opportunity on the marlin species, tuna and dorado. Grounds are easily accessible in less than an hour’s ride out of San Lucas and surrounding ports on the Sea of Cortez where waters bottom out immediately from 1000 to 9000 feet in a near instant. Hot spots along Cabo and the Southern Baja include the Cabrilla Seamount, Gordo Banks, San Jaime Bank, and Golden Gate.
